Should i replace my bio-bag?
its been about 6 weeks and 60% of my fish are dead, so i did my research and figured i would rinse the bio bag and filter in the 25% water change water. i did this and as i was putting the filter and bio-bag back in the pump the top of the bio-bag ripped.... very little of the stuff inside the bag got into the water, but do i need to get a new bag or is this one fine as long as the rip doesnt worsen?
lol, dude you need to replace that! 6 weeks is way overdo, and its ripped! Go to your local store and buy yourself a new one ( they are only about 5 bucks). If you ever damage a biobag, you need to replace it. Biobags only efficiently filter up to 4 weeks(one month).
