i have cut the cable on my bosch rotac lawn mower .?
i cut the cables on my lawn mower, so i have taped them back together with black electricians tape , changed the fuse in the plug because it tripped the soccets switch in the fuse board in the house , and it will still not work , is there anything i can do that i may have missed or do i nedd to take it in to a shop to get fixed..
You should take it to a shop. The electrician's tape is not going to be sufficient when the mower is outside in a wet environment, and you need to have the cord entirely replaced by a professional.
I don't know if this is recommended, but one thing I used to do when using an electric mower was to put the part of the cord just before it enters the mower over my shoulder as I mowed. This made me very aware of where the cord was at all times.

You have probably heard of robotic cleaners that vacuums your house without human intervention, correct? But did you know that there are also robotic lawn mowers that cuts your grass while you sit back and sip your ice cold drink in your patio?
Robotic lawn mowers are getting more popular because they are the ultimate in hands-free lawn maintenance. You don't have to lift a finger at all, and yet you can have a nice-looking lawn that's nearly as good as if you had done all the work yourself.
Before you go out and get yourself a robotic lawn mower, you need to consider a few things first...
You need to know the size of your lawn. Different robotic models can handle different lawn sizes, so you will need to get one that can accommodate your specific needs. You definitely do not want to get one that cannot mow your 2-acre backyard, but then again, you do not want to overspend on a higher-end model if you only have a small lawn. Keep in mind the size of your lawn and you can get a robotic mower that has just the right specifications.
Another consideration is the terrain of the lawn -- is it hilly or is it flat? Every model can handle a flat lawn, but not all models can tackle a steep slope. If your lawn has steep inclines, you will need to double-check that the model you want is designed to climb up that slope while mowing.
Robotic lawn mowers work on rechargeable batteries, and thus need to be recharged from time to time. If you want total hands-off operation, you will need to get a model that automatically returns to its docking station to recharge itself. But if you want to save money, you can consider a lower end model that requires you to connect it to a power cable yourself to recharge it when the batteries are weak.
For safety and practical reasons, make sure the model you want has an in-built rain sensor that automatically stops mowing if it starts to rain, and will wait till the rain stops and the lawn dries out before it goes about its mowing operation again.
Yet another important matter to keep in mind is the cost of replacement parts. Cheaper models may have relatively more expensive replacement parts, whilst the more expensive models will likely have better build quality and may need replacement parts less often. It is possible that a more expensive model may end up costing you less money over time once you add up the costs of the replacement parts. So think about this point carefully before you instinctively go for the cheapest model you find.
And if you ever need to send in the mower for repairs, your shipping costs will be determined primarily by the weight of the mower. With this in mind, you may want to get a small and light model if you can find one that suits your needs. The big and heavy one may look more impressive, but you will pay through your nose if you ever have to ship it back for repairs.
Remember these tips when you go shopping for your robotic lawn mower, and you will be able to make a better choice.
