Why would clean a chainsaw and string trimmer air filter (Shindaiwa,echo) with gas?
WOULD THE GAS MESS UP YOUR HANDS OR NO? Can gas eat your hands why wont you just clean it in soapy water
most of the time air filters a clogged with oily residue. Gas is a very good solvent for this type of residue. very effective cleaner and obviously it is compatible with the engine.
It will not hurt your hands.. unless your smoking while cleaning.
It just stinks alot. About soap and water... thats probably fine also. Its not as effective a solvent as gas but will probably do the job. make sure you dry the filter well so any left over water doesn't get in where is is not supposed to be.
