Chainsaw chain keeps coming loose?
After a few cuts the chain on an echo cs-306 model keeps coming loose.
I accidentally ran it into the ground a bit when I was cutting a small stump with it and got some dirt on the chain, would this mess up the chain? I cleaned it as much as possible, however after about 2 minutes of cutting I have to tighten it again, or the chain will come off. Is this normal? (I know echo doesn't make the best chainsaws)
They loosen often, esp if new, hot or if the chain gets into a bind. Dirt will dull a blade, then it might get loose more often due to heat. Keep tightening, but if it doesn't cut well, get a new chain.
