I just bought new electric lawn mower. do I have to oil it from start?
I just bought a new electric lawnmower. Instructions say to oil it lst and last of season. As this electric lawnmower is brand new, do I have to oil everything now or is it already oiled when you first buy it. Hope you can help. Where I bought it from was a discount place. Big mistake. They couldn't tell me when I went back.
yes, add oil before you use it! They are not shipped with oil in them, they must be oiled or you will destroy it and there is no warranty.
good luck, mom bought one of the electrics and gave it away after a couple weeks, it was too heavy for her and had to recharge before the yard was cut all the way.

If you're the type of person who likes to be in on the new, hip, hot thing, and you're in the market for a lawn mower, you should consider purchasing an electric mower.
These new style of push mowers are perfect for smaller lawns, excellent for the environment, easy to clean and inexpensive to operate. If you have a very large lawn, this style of walk-behind mower might not be the best for you, but if your lawn is of average size, electric mowers are a popular and smart choice.
An electric mower's most significant selling point for most people is its benefit to the environment. According to experts, mowing your lawn for just one hour with a regular gas walk-behind mower causes more air pollution than driving a new car 150 miles. By using an electric mower, you simply plug and go. The only drain on resources is the energy it takes to power the mower, and that's not a lot.
Because they are electric, these types of push mowers are cheaper to operate than other types of mowers, and are easy to maintain. You don't need to "tune" these walk-behind mowers, and you don't have to contend with oil changes either. Because they don't emit pollution, they are better for the environment and they are quieter than many other types of lawn mowers.
Tired of yanking and yanking on your current mower's start cord and still not getting the mower started? Consider the easy push-button operation of the electric mower. Already have an electric mower but you're tired of dragging the mower around the lawn and dealing with lugging the cord behind? Consider the new breed of electric mower: the cordless mowers, which operate with the ease of a battery.
In your hunt for a new electric push mower, be sure to consider mower reviews. Hearing what experts and homeowners have to say about this new breed of walk-behind mowers will help you make an informed decision.
