Anyone know if LLDPE liner is a reliable pond liner? How deos it compare to a EPDM pond liner?
I just bought a 20 mil LLPDE liner, the company claims its 6X stronger than EPDM liner? (I can't find anything on the net)
EPDM has more flexibility than black plastic. If you have pets, or plan to have rocks on the liner, this is a consideration. Also check to see how easy it is to FIX either product, and what toxicity the repair materials have (one drop of something toxic will kill your fish in a heartbeat).

In landscaping or gardening terms, a water feature is an accessory such as a pool, pond, cascade, stream, fountain or waterfall that can be added to a garden in order to help improve its aesthetics. Features used earlier than the 18th century would make use of gravity to move water throughout them. Now water can be moved throughout these systems by using pumps or hydraulics in more advanced systems. In the past, water features would be powered by steam engines. Today, they almost always use electricity as a power source. As solar energy becomes more prevalent in modern society as a power source, it will probably be used more.
Typically, a modern system is self contained. That means that water does not need to be pumped in continuously, but rather the water is recycled. It is stored in a non visible reservoir called a sump. The sump is either a part of the feature itself or put underground, if the water feature is located outdoors, that is. Features can be found indoors or outdoors, and come in many sizes. Some may be small enough to fit on a desk while others may be large enough to take up a whole wall inside of a large building. They can be made of many different materials, everything from stone and granite to steel, glass, and resin.
A water feature added to a garden pond can instantly make it the focal point, creating a gorgeous outdoor paradise for you and your friends and family to relax and unwind. Not only do they add another element of beauty to your garden, but they can also naturally attract a number of creatures like butterflies or birds. You can put up a small fountain at the front of your home as decoration or you can go all out and turn your back garden into a habitat complete with a waterfall and pond. Whatever you decide on, there is a water feature to meet your needs.
In order to build your own water feature, the basic supplies you will need is a water garden pump, a preformed pond liner, a spirit level, a water fountain statuary and tubing, and some sand, which serves as a cushion floor for the pond liner. You can also buy additional items like plants, rocks and more statuary. The rocks are a decorative feature and can be laid around the garden pond. Plants will help create a true water garden. Things like water lilies can be laid around the outside of the pond or actually put into the water.
