where can i find a carbide tipped chain for husqvarna 350 18"?
I have a Husqvarna 350 Chainsaw with an 18" bar. All I can find are the standard Husqvarna brand saw chain and one by Oregon which has the same characteristics. These chains run out pretty fast cutting up fallen trees in my backyard. I found out that some chains for some models have carbide tipped teeth which last alot longer so i can reasonably dice up the trunk of a fallen tree. I would like to find a compatible chain for my chainsaw and its 18" bar with a good kickback rating.
the standard chain has these stats-
H30 072G
325 .050"/1.3mm
95VP-72
it doesnt have to match the listed chain's specs verbatim, but compatible and has carbide teeth and/or feature which makes it last longer before needing maintenance besides tightening the chain.
if you write a bs answer or redirect me to a website just because it has a compatibility guide which doesnt help just so you can get your stupid 2 points, you will be checked down and I WILL ensure you do not get the "best answer".
Call Rapco Industries Inc. they manufacture carbide tipped chainsaw chain in all the standard pitches and gauges and have two types of carbide depending on your application. Your chain will probably cost $144.00 plus freight.

Husqvarna 353 Chainsaw Cold Start
The Stihl chainsaw has been in our lives for well over eighty years. When you hear the Stihl name there is one or two things that spring to mind, quality and perfection.
So how do you decide about buying a chainsaw? First of all you have to think about how often you are going to be using your chainsaw. Is it going to be used on a regular basis or is it just for the occasional clean up job around the home. You need to think about the money you want to spend on a chainsaw, Stihl prices can range anywhere for a used chain saw for around $40.00 to $400.00 and for new saws anything from $285.00 for the MS 170 to $2,200.00 for the MS 880.
If you are looking for a chainsaw for cutting small logs for firewood, an option would be the stihl chainsaw model number MSE 180. This is one of Stihl's chain saws from its electric range, it comes with a 12" bar and 25' cable. There is also the option of a 14" guide bar and extension cable 50' long. This is the only saw you will ever need if you are just using it for this purpose. However if you decide that you wish to fell trees in different locations this is not the right option, it is simply to small and does not possess the same power as some of the larger gas powered saws.
For trees in woodland areas I recommend that you set your sights on something a little bit bigger. Stihl offers a good range of gas powered chainsaws. One such chainsaw that springs to mind is the MS 260, which replaced the old 026 model. The MS 260 has a power output of 3.5bhp, comes with a choice of guide bars ranging from 13" to 18" in length. It comes with good standard features like the built in Anti-Vibration system and tool free filler caps. Stihl's UK website starting price for the MS 260 with a 13" guide bar is £616.00. Although this seems like a little bit to expensive don't forget that Stihl has been around for eight decades for a reason. If this seems a little bit out of your range you can always try websites like eBay or Craigslist, there is numerous amounts of used chain saws on these websites at any one time.
If you are looking for a comprehensive guide into buying a Stihl chainsaw or just need some reassurance when choosing one. Philip Murphy, a user of Stihl chainsaws for more than ten years offers some great tips and advice on old and new models in the Stihl range. You can visit his website by following this link.
