Aerators for Lawns
If you want a
healthy lawn you need to aerate your lawn. Aeration is the process of
making holes in your lawn by a series of spikes or by
extracting cores (also known as plugs).
By aerating your
lawn you will allow oxygen and water to penetrate to the root system
more efficiently, this will also allow fertilisers and nutrients the
same easy access. A loosened up lawn also means the grass root system
has more room to grow

Care Aeration Tips
- You should
aerate your lawn in spring, at the end of summer or in autumn
- In vary dry
climates you should aerate your lawn twice a year
- If you have a
sprinkler system installed make sure you know how deep it lies and that
aeration won't damage any of the water lines
- Coring aerators
are seen as superior
machines when compared to spike aerators, as a spike aerator sometimes
just compacts the soil when piercing the earth
- Always keep your
home lawn aerator in sparkling condition and ready for the next time
you need to use it
