Lawn
Care Tips
- Fertiliser:
Makes
the seed germinate faster, and grass sprout quickly. Your lawn should
have about four applications of fertiliser a year (roughly every ninety
day). Too much fertiliser will lead to fungus growth and also weaken
the grass, so don't over do it
- Weed Control: A
top notch lawn looks good due to the fact that it's level and smooth
and hasn't any weeds. Treat your lawn for weeds with minimal use of
chemicals if you can
- Mowing: The
biggest mistake you can make when mowing your lawn is to set the level
to low and effectively scalp the grass. Resist doing this, especially
at the beginning of the cutting season, set the level at a reasonable
height and mow more frequently instead
- Watering: The
best way to water your lawn is by using an underground sprinkler
system, it's convenient and efficient. If you don't have the luxury of
such a system then using a hosepipe is fine, you must however remember
to water a lawn frequently if you want that lush green look
